STCC Round 5 (Bashley)

WHAT A WEEKEND !

This track is truly awesome, technical, tight, difficult to drive, rewarding. It's got everything you could ask for.

I was very worried however, when I checked out the club website the week before I went and saw that there were climbs and dips in the track.. I mean WTF ???

When I got there, I realised just how much elevation change there was and then it hit me... This was going to be a hard track to actually get round !

This was compounded by the fact that I had a modified motor in the car, let me tell you, the way those things shift, you can really scare yourself as the track is quite bumpy.

I ended up missing out on the A final by about a second, so almost a repeat of Friday night's racing at Sidcup "Close, but no cigar"

In the B final, as there were only 12 entries for Mod, Charlie and myself had the track to ourselves for our 3 finals. If you remember the last time we had the track to ourselves (Off-road regional) we certainly put on a show :)

This time round however, we decided that we'd race using our cars for a change.

1st leg: Charlie wins by a lap
2nd leg: I win by a few seconds
3rd leg: All to play for, and Charlie got his arse handed to him (sorry mate)

Championship rounds: Chris 3: Charlie 1
Championship point: All square

Special Mention to Billy (you know why) and Alex, for showing us how to drive it properly round that track.

Next up: SNETTERTON !!! COME ON !!!
