Here's some pictures of the build process, I'm hoping to run it tomorrow at the STCC meeting at West London.

The Box :)

Box Contents

Notice that the chassis comes with the bulkheads already fitted. These have to be removed and the chassis prepared by sanding the edges, then sealing with CA (glue).

A closer shot of the chassis as it comes in the box.

Here's the parts bags in order, ready to begin.

After building bag 1, the suspension arms are fitted.

Bag 2 contains the drivetrain items, such as the Spur gear, pulleys, spool and a Differential. The kit comes with 38 & 16 tooth pulleys, but also 34/20 for lower ratio gearing (2.375 versus 1.77 internal)

After fitting the top deck, shock towers, and camber links.

Close up of the rear hub and camber link.

Close up of the front steering arms and camber links.

Anti roll bar for the rear.

Anti roll bar for the front.

Here's something that's not in the kit, but saves and absolute AGE when building shocks. It's a vacuum pump. Simply fill the shocks with oil, put the lid on, then use the plunger that comes with it to remove the air from the shocks.

Completed front and rear (air-free) shocks :)

Completed bar electronics.
I have built a couple of xray cars, and been working on them for about 18 months now, and I have to say, this kit is really top notch ! It went together very easily, with all the parts fitting first time, and no fettling needed (other than the edges of the chassis).
Let's hope it doesn't fall apart on the track !
