Had a strange night at the last RC Car race meet...
During the 1st qualifying round I broke a diff blade, so was effectively racing on 3 wheels.
No problem, replace that diff you say, well yes, but as the replacements are brand new and have never been run before it took me another two qualifying rounds to adjust the tightness correctly.
For the final I decided that I'd change the motor and the gearing and just give it some beans. Normally you'd expect a small indoor carpet track like this to warrant a gear ratio of 8.6 or something around that area. I went for 7.3 which is leaning more towards a higher top speed.
My madness paid off though as I won the final I made it into (admittedly, it was the D-Final but still a win is a win)
